It’s been gone for a while, and it’s undergone a lot of changes, but it’s alive! Welcome to the new site.

Because life happens! Unfortunately things got away from me – I decided that instead of running my own servers I’d just pay someone else to do it (for considerably less) and work on the actual web development instead. In that vein I’ve been working on a couple of portfolio sites to get my teeth back into things, which I’ll explain below.
Before I was using a ready made theme and never really changed much, this is a brand new custom theme and plugin to get things on the right track. However, because it is a new theme and still a work in progress, some things might be broken and others might need improving – If you spot anything like that fill out the form on the Contact Me page. Hopefully it works better for what I want it to do, instead of relying on others.
This is where it gets interesting, people! There’s a guides section on the site, which to start with will have some guides on how to do stuff in PlanetHoster (<< that’s an affilliate link, fyi) and how to do this and that when developing a WordPress theme or plugin – That’s if there are any guides there at all when you read this! In time it will expand and become more comprehensive, as well as cover more and more (especially the stuff I’m either working on at the moment or have in the pipeline).
There should be a weekly update on the blog every Monday to let you know what’s been happening over the past week in terms of new guides, updates to plugins, as well as what’s been happening in general re: devloping etc.
I’ve really delved into the deep end with this one – I developed a plugin I’ve called FreeForm. It’s a plugin that allows you to create forms within WordPress, and will eventually have the options of sending it to visitors and a load of other stuff, all without a paywall!
Look out in future for plugins that allow you to create sudokus (and other number puzzles), wordsearches and crosswords too.
There’s not much more to say than the heading, once I’ve got a hold of things I’m going to start offering web development services, but there’s quite a way to go – I still need to plan how to onboard and what to charge etc first, as well as where I want to focus.
While I might not be quite ready to offer web development services (yet!), I have created a couple of portfolio sites so far, as well as the site you’re reading this post on. They’re first efforts, and I’m rusty, but take a look.
A simple single page site that’s designed with a trades-person in mind, it concentrates on how people can get in touch as well as the people behind the name and what services they can offer.
Another single page site, this one’s designed as if you offer nail services, including mani’s and pedi’s.
